Requirements for Submissions
First off we want unique content to submit. Videos, Movies and Pic Sets that are not easy to come by and
are not posted elsewhere. We basically would rather have hard to find content that has not been
submitted to one of the sites we submit to.
You must include Megaupload, Rapidshare or Hotfile links as the primary download,
then add other filehosts if you choose to do so.
Note: The filehosts that are allowed can be viewed HERE.
You must follow the basic posting rules of the board. Which can be found HERE.
Content must be packed as stated below...
- Make a Folder (Name It) and move the content you want to post in there.
- Add a html file that links to SnowFortress in that folder.
- Include a NFO with basic info about the content. (Not required but nice to add)
Here's a html file already made:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VJ46UPHW
In Winrar with that folder do this:
- Do not name files by there true name. (Eronata Orange Panties 082) = No | (ENOraPa082) = Yes.
- Include this site's domain name in the filename. For example: ENOraPa082_www.snowfortress.net.rar
or ENOraPa082_www.snowfortress.net.partX.rar - Select "Store" as the "Compression method".
- Select "Lock archive" under "Archiving options"
- Do Not add a Password. (This is a huge No No!)
- Do not RAR existing RAR files!
This will be highly enforced. So follow this or else!
Risk a direct ban!!
If you need more information on how to go about packing your files
then read on below through the step by step guide...
Packing your content. (Important)
This is a tutorial with screenshots of how we want you to pack the files.
You must follow this or we will not submit your content.
I'm assuming you have a copy of WinRar installed and working. If not get yourself a copy and return.
Now what I want you to do is go to where you have the content you want to pack and upload.
I want you to create a new folder.
If you do not know how to do this simply right click on the page and select "New" then "Folder" (pic below)
Name it what the video or pic set is called. Now move your cursor over the content, left click on it...
hold the left click down and drag it into that newly created folder.

Once done doing that open up that folder.
There are a couple of things that we want you to add in here before you pack it up.

Now what you want to do is include a html file that will direct one to this forum when clicked on.
The link below you can download such a file to include in the folder.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VJ46UPHW
Also this is not required but is nice to add, a NFO file. How does one create one?
Well, simple...Just Create a .txt document which could read anything. Such as the Pic Set/Videos Name, specs, size,or say that this was ripped and uploaded by you. Just put anything, then add this document to the folder. Below is a screenshot of a basic NFO I do for picsets.

Now that you got all the information in the text file you need to be able
to change the file extension from txt to nfo.
First you need to click Start on the bottom left, In the search box type in "folder options" without quotes
of course and the folder should show up, click on it and you will be brought to something like this below.

Click the view tab at the top and uncheck the box as shown in the pic above and click apply.
Now you will be able to change the file extension of that text document. Just left click on the name
to highlight it, then left click again and edit the extension to nfo.

A window will pop up saying some crap, just click yes and there you go, NFO created.

What's the reason for adding these. Because we said so!!! lol j/k
Well for one a link back to this forum is nice and let's the one know that it came from here and a NFO with some information about the content is always nice to have. Another reason is well I do not wanna go into detail as it can be real long. But, to sum it up is to have a unique CRC checksum from other content that has been posted which in turn will make your upload unique and less likely to be removed. The reason a lot of movies get deleted is because if the CRC's match and a file get's reported everything that matches up to that checksum will be removed.
So you want a unique one. Make sense?
Now open up WinRar (double click on it). It should look something similar to the below image.

Locate "File" Click on it and select "browse for folder" double click on it.
Now browse to the directory in which the folder you just created resides in WinRar.
In this case it would be "eroNata Pic Sets"
You want to only open the directory that contains the folder, not the folder itself.
Click and highlight the directory then click ok.
Now highlight the folder I had you create by clicking on it. Then Locate Add and click on it.

The Archive name and parameters menu will open up and look like the pic below. Locate "Archive name" in this case it is named "2009-05-14 - 082 - Orange panties.rar" by default it will name it the same. just with .rar at the end. What you want to do is change this name to something that will not be easily picked up by search engines and will not let anyone know what is contained within. This helps ensure when you upload to the file sharing sites your files will most likely not get removed. So in this case I have named them "ENOraPa082_www.snowfortress.net.rar".

I did EN short for eroNata, OraPa short for Orange Panties and included what number the set is by the main site.
See how I added the www.snowfortress.net at the end? You MUST include this in the filename
if you want your content submitted.
1. Select "Store" as the "Compression method".
-
2. Select "Lock archive" under "Archiving options".
-
* Do not RAR existing RAR files! There's nothing more annoying than sitting there extracting a RAR archive
and when it's finally done, to find a set of another 30 RAR files inside.
Now under "Split to volumes, bytes" you want to type in the size in bytes that you want to split the folder into.
In many cases if you want to earn points from megaupload for example then you would want to split the
folder into 100MB parts. as anything bigger you will not earn any points. Points accumulate and then
you can redeem them for premium services or other things.
100MB = 104857600 bytes....
So anything less than that if you want to earn points is a must for what you would put in that box.
I tend to go for a unique number...a size different than what many would use as
this will help to keep your files from being deleted.
Select a unique size that suits you. Now just click "OK" and the process of splitting your folder will start.
Once finished WinRar will save the files it creates to the same folder by default.
Some things to take note of when packing the files. (Important)
Do not password protect your RAR archives.
This is a HUGE NO NO!
What exactly does password protecting files achieve? Really nothing but hassle. Instead, just add the
site's domain to the filename. It's not uncommon for someone to download a file and then realize
later when their download is finished that they haven't got the password, and don't
remember where exactly they got the download links from.
Include a shortcut inside the RAR archive to this forum as I explained earlier. That's far more effective.
Do not compress the RAR archive if majority of contents are AVI, WMV, MP3, MP4 files.
Why not? These file formats, such as AVI (Xvid) themselves use the best compression and compressing them further in WinRAR makes negligible difference, which instead just quadruples the time it takes to extract the contents.
Why waste time trying to compress something that will not compress much at all?
There isn't Plain and Simple! So Don't Do It!!!
There you go just like that you now have your folder split up all ready to be uploaded to a
file sharing site such as megaupload, rapidshare, hotfile, ect...
This is how we want things packed. Naming the files as I suggest will help to keep your links alive a lot longer.
We want links posted that are going to stay active for as long as possible. Having a backup
ready is also strongly suggested in case a link goes down.
Now all that needs to be done is create the thread with the links as we suggest HERE.
Note: This guide can change at any time so check back on it frequently.
